Hi Jonus,

There is so much material in the 10 domains that needs to be known or
memorized that, I feel that, a structured approach to the study together
with the required years of professional experience is essential.

One of the most valuable activities that I found was the practice exams!
They consolidated the knowledge gained, highlighted the areas that needed
further study and built a level of confidence of which I was very grateful
of on the day of the actual exam.

However, as I said, it was finding a good study partner and committing to a
structured study schedule that was the most significant element of my
personal programme of CISSP study.

Good luck and best wishes for your exam.

Regards.

Dave

Congratulation with achieving your goals. I have been studying and still
don't get the concept. Is it memory or is it knowledge.

Dear Clement

I am writing to let you know that last week, after many months of study, I
successfully received my CISSP certificate.

Thank you for your support, encouragement and all the resources that you
have made available through cccure.org.

Thanks also to all the contributors at cccure.org and participants in the
cisspstudy at cccure.org mailing group.

Having followed the excellent and plentiful study and exam preparation
advice on the cccure.org web site, use of the Shon Harris "All-In-One"
material and regular use of the test exams questions, I would like to offer
one further suggestion to those currently studying for the exam:

Forming a local study group: This proved a most significant benefit in
keeping up a sustained study effort over a six month period.

I used the study group announcement on cccure.org ("Study Group in
Yorkshire, UK?") to seek anyone in my local area studying for the CISSP;
Just one person (Mark Ellis), responded and we got together for an initial
meeting and decided that we could be supportive of each other in our study
efforts and arranged a weekly Skype video conference session. We scheduled
study time for each of the 10 CBK domains and several weeks of exam
practice, each week we set each other a set of test questions for the part
of the domain we were studying that week.

The support and encouragement of working closely with someone else on the
CISSP study in this way has been highly motivational and also made such a
massive effort sustained over six months or so, a real pleasure.

I am pleased to report that we both passed the six hour CISSP exam in London
at the first attempt.

So thanks again to Clement, Nathalie and Alain Dupuis for the fantastic
resources of cccure.org; Mark Ellis for being such an excellent "study
buddy" in our small study group; All the contributors and participants to
the CISSP mailing list at cccure.org and the authors of the wealth of
helpful material on the site.

Please let me know what contribution to the ongoing success of the site I
can most appropriately make (practice questions, discussions, etc).

Much appreciated.

Regards.
