Hi,

I guess practice test forgot to consider "NOT" in the question.

Its a wakeup call for all CISSP aspirants to watch out for these "negatives". If experts (!) developing these practice tests can go wrong, after whole lot of QA I would suppose, there is a good chance we may miss this while taking exam as well. (to be honest, I went for B in the first instance as I forgot to notice NOT, doh!)

cheers, SB

Hi,

Kindly clarify my doubt in Cryptography - practise test

A symmetric algorithm must have certain characteristics to be considered strong.
which of the followin isnot correct pertaining to these types of characeteristics?

A. Confusion is carried out thru' transposition and diffusion is carried out thru diffusion.
B. Confusion is carried out thru substituition and diffusion is carried out thru transposition.
C. Confusion and diffusion are both used to increase the workfactor
D. The randomness of the key and functions in the algorithm correlate with the level of confusion and diffusion that is provided.

I think the answer is A, but the practise exam says it is B

Thanks & Regards,
Yogesh.M
