[Cisspstudy] Telecom & net security domain

The questions are evenly distributed like Clement said ...in some cases they are closely related to each other which may give the impression that there are more questions in one domain than other.

My experience was more on telecomm but I heard from others that it was more on risk management. It was like driving on the scenic route 1 in California, some times you drove fast and other times you drove slowly. Just don't mind the 3 hours exam takers.

There is a fix percentage per domains in order to maintain difficulty across
different exams

However, your weakest domain will always seem like the one with the most
questions

Take care

Yes, somebody can please share here about CISSP standard percentage as to my
knowledge none of resources i have read indicating it. But CISA exam indeed
explicitly weighs out questions percentage of each from 6 domains being
examined.

Hello All,

I am planning to pass exam in April 2010 so i have a one simple
question.
I've heard somewhere that 70% of the questions on the exam are taken
from the Telecommunication and Network Security domain.
Is it the truth and should I pay the maximum attention to this domain?

Thanx all,
Ilya Aleksandrov.

The questions on the exam are a very balanced and thorough representation of
the entire CBK encompassing all domains, none excluded. Bear in mind that 25
questions out of the 250 on the exam are for research only. Which means that
you will be actually graded on 225 questions. In this scenario your best bet
to succeed is to cover every domain with the same intensity.

Hope that helps.

Andrea

I do agree with this. The questions are mix blend of all domains. Some times
you may find little more questions from one domain.

I recently passed the CISSP. I read the Shon Harris's All in One 4th edition
- entirely from front to back. It took me two months of reading 2 to 3 hours
a night during the week and 5 to 8 hours a day on the weekends. Then I did
as many practice tests as I could up until two days before the test. I used
Transcender.com and cccure.org <http://cccure.org/> for testing. I stopped
studying two days
before the test to relax and rest.

My coworker and I took the test the same day. He finished in 3 hours and I
took the full 6 hours. It all depends on your testing style. I tend to be
more methodical and read every question, every answer and rule out what I
know is not true and confirm what I do know is true.

I believe the test is very balanced and there is no way to know which
domains may have more questions on your test. The practice tests will give
you an idea of your weak areas.

Good luck!

Great stuff ro share; thank you AND CONGRATS!!! Definitely, effort
well-spent. Can I ask if there were any multi-part questions, and if you get
one wrong is the whole question counted wrong, or, is partial credfit given?

Thanks in advance, and again, CONGRATS on a great achivement.
