Question 1439
Which of the following is NOT an advantage of coaxial cabling over
twisted pair?
It is more resistant to EMI.
/It provides a higher bandwidth.
It provides for longer cable lengths.
>It is less expensive.
>correct answer
/my answer
Notes from Q: Twisted pair cable is cheaper and easier to work with than
coaxial but the latter is more resistant to EMI, provides a higher
bandwidth and longer cable length.
So, I have this bad habit of answering each question from first answer
to last... so yes UTP IS less expensive, but I had already mentally
picked my answer at "it provides a higher bandwidth."
I know I've got to get rid of that for this Sunday... but it still begs
the question...
How are BOTH "b" and "d" not right answers(because coax is both more
expensive AND lower bandwidth) ? Twisted pair can go gigabit or higher
speeds, coaxial can't match that, can it?
In this instance, I don't understand how B could be any LESS wrong than
D...
