Last email of the day...
In the same chapter 6, Physical Security, I'm reading about locks again
and noticed (while trying to get a visual on the different types of
locks) on Wikipedia it says
A Wafer tumbler lock is NOT the same as a disc tumbler lock.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wafer_tumbler_lock
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disc_tumbler_lock
Although, both descriptions denote that people often incorrectly refer
to a wafer tumbler as a disc tumbler in regions where actual "disc
tumbler" locks are rare... it still leaves a begging question as their
relative security seems to be on opposite spectrums.
What makes it confusing to me is a wafer tumbler lock is a relatively
low security lock compared to a pin tumbler lock, but a disc tumbler
lock appears to be a "high security" lock that's hard to pick according
to Wikipedia. (Now whether that's considered higher security than pin
tumbler is another question)
So my question is, if I get a question about the strength of a disc
tumbler lock to a pin tumbler lock, to which definition should I adhere
for the test?
I'm actually getting serious about this test now and will start picking
it apart hoping to better understand as I've set a date to take the test
on Oct. 25th.
Thanks for your help,
