All,
I would concur with Clement and take the full immersion approach. In
my case, I prepared intensively over a period of 3 months. I combined some
of that time with preparation for the CISM which overlaps a few of the
CISSP domains. I estimate that I spent 130 hours study which might be a
beter measure of effort than using elapsed time.

Dear Clement and others,

What is the minimum period to study CISSP in your opinions? Is there any
considerations?

Thanks,

Mesfer

Hi Mesfer,

I'm planning to take, at least, the next year to study. My CISSP AIO 5th
Ed. Book just arrived today. From what I've seen so far, I'll need close to
a year to get through it a few times.

OUCH!

This is a loaded question.

I have seen people who simply walked into the exam room and took the test
and passed. Those are exceptions of course.

The amount of time will greatly depend on how much experience you have
within the ten domains.

If you only worked in 4 of the ten domains then you have lots of cover and
study. If you have been in security for 15 years and you have touched 7 of
the ten domains then you will need a couple months at the most.

There is no easy answer to this one

Sorry

Clement

WOW,

It sounds like a long period of time.

You might want to cut this down to a quicker timerframe. 12 months from
now
will you remember the first domain you have studied.

You have to immerse yourself deeply and than take the exam.

Best of luck

Clement

Hi Clement,

Point taken. Looks like I will be cutting down my study time.

Thanks for the advice.

Darryl
