You could protect your network logically using many Logical Access control tools and techniques, such as Firewalls, Routers, VLAN, DMZ, Access Control Management Software, etc.
"Network segregation" use both logical and physical controls. If you are isolating your network (datacenter network or development or QA network) physically, then you are just using Physical controls. But if you use VLANs, ACLS etc, then you integrate logical controls with physical controls.

There are a lot of answers, a VLAN would qualify, A firewall would
qualify as well, both are logical rule set based access controls.
